Whether you like it or not, money is what makes the world go round.
Hear this and take it to heart:
MONEY IS NOT EVIL.
Money is simply a form of energy exchange. Money itself is neither good nor evil. PEOPLE choose to do good with their money or to do evil. MONEY is simply a repository of energy. A universal method of assigning a specific amount of energy or work to a particular task that then results in a net positive or a net negative exchange of energy.
Or to put it into TCM terminology – Money is Qi INCARNATE.
Money, in its purest form, is simply a medium of exchange, a conduit through which energy flows between individuals, communities, and nations. It is neither inherently virtuous nor nefarious; its morality lies in the hands of those who wield it.
Money, like electricity coursing through wires, carries the potential for both illumination and destruction. It possesses the power to uplift lives, fuel innovation, and foster prosperity.
And the flipside… It also has the potential to sow discord, perpetuate inequality, and breed corruption..
Consider the philanthropist who channels their wealth toward humanitarian causes, alleviating suffering, and empowering marginalized communities. In their hands, money becomes a force for compassion, a catalyst for positive change, and a beacon of hope in a world fraught with injustice.
Would you then categorize their money as GOOD money?
Conversely, ponder the despot who amasses fortunes through exploitation, oppression, and deceit, using money as a tool of control, manipulation, and tyranny. In their grasp, money becomes a weapon of destruction, a symbol of greed, and a barrier to human dignity.
Is the money in their possession EVIL?
It is not money that is inherently virtuous or malevolent; it is the consciousness behind its use that determines its ethical value.
Money is but a mirror reflecting the values, intentions, and priorities of its possessor – the human who wields it. And as humans come in all flavors, money merely amplifies the virtues or the vices already present within the human soul. Money magnifies the impact of noble deeds and ignoble pursuits alike.
In the grand tapestry of human existence, money serves as a thread binding individuals together in a complex web of transactions, exchanges, and interactions. It facilitates the fulfillment of needs, the pursuit of desires, and the realization of dreams. Yet, its true worth lies not in the accumulation of wealth but in the manner in which it is shared, circulated, and leveraged for the betterment of society.
To demonize money as inherently corrupt is to overlook its potential as a force for good. Likewise, to glorify wealth as a measure of virtue is to ignore the moral responsibility that accompanies abundance.
Instead, let us recognize money for what it truly is—an instrument of power, a vessel of potential, and a reflection of human nature.
Let us wield it with wisdom, integrity, and compassion, and forever be mindful of its capacity to shape destinies, transform lives, and illuminate the path toward a more equitable and harmonious world.
For in the end, it is not the currency we possess but the values we uphold and the actions we take that will define our legacy.
But at the end of the day…
We all need to make money…. UNLESS we have someone supporting us…. Otherwise, we need to make money.
